- The first step in this process is to go to www.utorrent.com the web page should look similar to the screenshot below.
2. Click on the orange Get Utorrent button in the middle of the screen
3. The next page should look like the screenshot below click on the green Free Download button
4. Next a save prompt will open ( Like below) click on the save file button
5. After download of the file is complete, double click on the file to begin installation, depending on your computers settings and anti-virus program you may encounter a security warning window like the one below just click on the run button to continue.
6. Next the Utorrent installation wizard will start, this will guide you through the rest of the setup I suggest leaving all settings at there default locations unless you are familiar with this type of program. The screenshot below is for your reference.
7. You have now successfully downloaded the Utorrent client this program will download and save all your files such as movies, games, applications, etc. To get started double click on the Utorrent icon on your desktop to open the program, the program interface should look like the screenshot below.
8. Now to get started searching for the content that you want to download. There are many websites that you can download your content from i will just use one as an example, Go to www.thepiratebay.org the homepage should look like the screenshot below.
9. Lets search for a movie, in the search box type in a movie that you want to watch, lets say for example, Twilight - Eclipse ( I found it easier if you just type in the main title of the movie and not the subtitle, also type it in all lower case.) below the search box there are some check boxes make sure to check only the video box as this will narrow down the search, after doing this you should come to a page with a list of results like the screenshot below.
10. From here you will want to click on the SE tab (Seeders Tab) to ensure that you receive the fastest download also the more seeders usually means the better the movie quality. If you cant find the SE tab please look at the screenshot below for reference.
11. Now as you can see from the screenshot above by clicking this tab it puts in order the files that have the most seeders, from here you will have to read the titles of the files to find the correct movie that you are trying to download, which in are case would be Twilight - Eclipse which is the fourth choice down, once located click on the movie title and you should come to a screen like the one below.
12. This page gives you general information about the file and the movie, also i like to make it a good habit to look at the comments about the movie at the bottom of this page it will let you know how good the quality and sound are, usually a commenter will refer this information by typing an
A= 1-10 meaning the audio quality on a 1-10 scale and a V= 1-10 meaning the video quality on a 1-10 scale sometimes you will also see a M= 1-10 this is just what the poster thought about the movie, in general mostly the posters own opinion. Refer to the screenshot below for more info.
13. Once you are satisfied with the movie you have found it is time to download click on the green Get this torrent link. refer to the screenshot below for the location of this link.
14. Next the Utorrent save window will pop up (refer to screenshot below) here you can change where you want your movie saved to as well as some advanced options for the veteran user. when you have finished entering your download path click the ok button to proceed.
15. your Utorrent software you downloaded in the first step of this blog should now pop up with the file you clicked to download in the main window, from here you can check all the settings and see how well your file is being downloaded, if no information on the file being downloaded shows up make sure that the file is highlighted. See image below.
16. After the download is finished go to the folder that you told the Utorrent software you wanted to safe your files to and your movie should be there waiting to be watched.
